A Recap of Blessings

I have spent a lot of time in this last year being so busy that I haven't had any time to really sit back and review some of the great things that have been happening and happened to me. So here we go. First, I got married...that's right I got married. I would have never thought that I could want to be married but then again I never thought I would meet Karen. I always believed that there is a perfect person for everyone out there but in my heart I really started to doubt that that was the case for me. I had some real poor relationships that were not very healthy for me and I began to think that I was the sole cause of this. Then I met Karen. My perspective changed very quickly. I found the perfect match for my heart and my soul. She made me feel alive and at peace. She also brought with her an even better gift. Kids! I always wanted to be a dad and I didn't care if it was stepdad or not, I could have an impact on a child's life. I finally had a family of my own. It was like I found the piece of my life that was missing.

I had my brother as my best man in my wedding. I was honored he said yes. He gave a speech that left everyone talking and it is something I will never forget. I had my best friend John a groomsmen for me as well. To have him there and be a part of my wedding was something I know I never will regret. It was the perfect choice.

We as a family really reconnected. All of my cousins and Aunt's and everyone have spent so much time together this year that it is overwhelming how great it has been. They have accepted Karen and the kids and I so much and made us a part of the family that we look forward to every time we get together.

I am working at a job that I absolutely love. I sit next to a man that I am honored to call my mentor but most importantly my friend. I have a boss and peers that really appreciate my work and work hard to keep us a strong work unit.

Overall, I think I have a great life now and I don't want for much. Holla!
